My role at MSI is to coordinate the minority outreach, education
and training programs for the Center for Quantitative Genome
Function. The training program includes post-Ph.D. fellowship,
and internships for undergraduates and high school students.
Key components of the programs are mentorship, research training
and academic/career development activities. I work with trainees,
MSI research scientists and outside collaborators to develop
programs that serve the needs of each unique trainee but can
also be broadly applied.
